thanks – I love them too. I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Yosemite and the Giant Sequoias. There is something awe-inspiring standing at the base of these massive trees, especially when you consider some of them are 3,000 years old. They are witnesses to life itself and standing near them you can almost hear them talking about it 🙂

awesome
I mouthed ‘wow’ when I saw this. As you might remember, we were actually in that part of the country at the same time. I remember looking up, feeling the true power of the mother, and of the sky. Somehow your black and white photography captures the soul of a thing more than anything I’ve seen in color. Maybe more than anyone else’s black and white, too. The photo of the girls you posted at DD is ingrained in me. I’ll never ‘forget’ it. But ‘forgetting’ is thinking and it’s not a mind thing.

thanks Rebecca 🙂 yes I remember that we were both there around the same time. Being among those trees was very moving for me. I cried at one point, just overwhelmed by the energy and experience. I like that part of that comes through in my photographs of the trees.. It is something I wish everyone could experience !
