shape of my love

I pour myself into
this shape
oozing and undone
heart unmended
seeping
Love flowing
into low places
studying
the map of me
love tips
into the toes and shins
moves among the muscles
and skin
long strides
bone strength
to carry on
moving
wrapped centre
tightly holding on
along the neck
to the eyes
rising
hope dressed in
sunlight and blue sky
holding my hands
as love enters
I fall away

  1. Leigh-Anne, I ‘m trying to find the words to tell you how much this moves me but they are elusive so will just say ….beautiful!

    • thank you Colleen. I understand – sometimes it’s not possible (or hard to) find the words, but I appreciate that you are moved by the poem and find it beautiful. It’s been a long time (and feels longer) that I have felt to write poetry. This is one of several that came up this morning when I woke. I will try to post the others later.
