the unaffected sewer mouth

the unaffected sewer mouth
that falls unbidden
who are you?

stupid lazy and absolute
what are you doing
behind those keys?

wasting time
in the kitchen?
food is never a waste.

ho. you. shut up.
I am not the sleeping multitude.

I am not your cannon
your mistaken use
of English.
Your drawn out
afterthought

I would like to punch you in the throat
make you forget to breathe

we drove around the abandoned cypress
alone and absolute

I have only that

ho.
and you.
in the passing of winter
wind and frozen hellos

I cannot ask for more.

the world is
and I am.
You do not see the passing
the tears and utter despair

I hold what I can
let loose the words
small comfort to the fearful

I hold heads up that are not my own

and you, continue oblvious.
I hate you for that.

coward in your soul
ignore your flesh and their struggles
something I cannot do

and cast to the rotting sand
I stand

now, as ever
looking forward.
all of this your doing
your making

karma has no end date.
enjoy.

last night the sky was on fire

sky on fire

last night the sky was on fire
and we could not help but stop
at the ending of the day
to watch the riot of colour
in the waves I found myself
lost and alone
you stood indifferent
which left me hollowed out
like a drum
tossed aside
you misunderstood everything
in your cowardice
and I was left speechless
by the sudden pain of it all
your fear tore
pieces of skin
ripped and shredded
heart bleeding upwards
to match the light

longing

summer breeze

longing
for the summer breezes
and the warm air
through my fingers
blue skies
and long green wild grasses
I watch through frosted windows
snow falls and melts and falls again
heart held still
like frozen breath over
the lake in January
waiting for sunshine to peek
through the heavy grey
and remind me
of the possibility

come with me

follow me

come with me
the wind whispered
we will walk along
the greener paths together
sunlight will show us
the turning and ending
shadows will remind us
each footstep a beginning
each heartbeat a song

come we will walk here
to the sound of falling water
and the call of sparrows
in the late autumn air
sunlight will show us
the turning and ending
shadows will remind us
each footstep a beginning
each heartbeat a song

come my love
stand with me here
under the arms
of the willow tree
kiss me gently
while my heart
thunders in my ears
sunlight will show us
the turning and ending
shadows will remind us
each footstep a beginning
each heartbeat a song
